Every three months I have a feeling of anticipation; an expectation that something wonderful is coming. A friend.. A gift... Martha Stewart Weddings. It is my favourite publication, I take it home, make a cup of tea and pour into the pages. Always so beautiful, always so many breathtaking photos.

I have every issue that has ever been published, and they are all full of bookmarks and post-its marking my favourite images and ideas. This spring issue is devoted to amazing details, which is hard to believe they'll have more details than usual? I better get out my post-its!

Goodness gracious! It's been a week since I last posted and I must apologize - I've had some very exciting things going on and I just haven't found the time.

I couldn't help but post this today though, the latest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings will be on newstands today!



The reason why I'm so excited about this particular issue is because, according to the fabulous Darcy Miller, it's all about personalization:

I am a hard girl to surprise. I've had three surprise birthday parties in my life; I knew about two and was slightly suspicious of the third. However, yesterday, I was browsing through my stat counter and I noticed some referrals from a site that I love and hold in the highest esteem - Darcy Miller's blog The Bridal Guide!

I was beyond surprised when I clicked through and found that she listed my little blog as suggested reading for wedding blogs! This was posted last Tuesday, the 16th of September. I'm fifth on the list...

Martha Stewart Book Signing

If you happen to be in New York this Sunday, stop in at Macy's where Martha Stewart will cut the ribbon to open the 34th Annual Macy’s Flower Show. After the ceremony, she will be in the Fine China department to sign her two new books, Martha Stewart’s Cookies and Martha Stewart’s Wedding Cakes.



I won't happen to be anywhere near New York City on Sunday so if anyone feels like picking up a book for me I'd be grateful, either book will do but I would prefer Wedding Cakes. Have her address it to "My friend Lisa,..."

I just wanted to make sure you all know about Martha's Special Wedding Show airing on The Martha Stewart Show this Friday, January 18.

Now that all that hustle and bustle is over I have spent the majority of today relaxing and playing with my new toys. What I would really love to do is sit back with a cup of tea and devour the latest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, but unfortunately, I don't have it yet. Martha Stewart Crafts has launched their Christmas products. It's just lovely, as per usual. The two main lines appear to be Frost and Woodland . They have their unique "do-it-yourself" kits available to make all sorts of holiday decorations to enhance your home. And they have a wonderful line of food packaging so you can share you baking and treat making with all of your friends and family. It's all just simply divine. Simply Martha.

I was at Michaels yesterday, perusing Martha's Halloween Craft treats when I wondered if she has anything coming out for the Christmas season. So I popped on over to her site to see.

I didn't find any, but I did find Martha's Blog! up close & personal ! Did you know she had a blog?! I didn't! Now we do! I'm so excited!

Sigh ~**~~ Waiting on Martha

I love living in Canada. It's a glorious place. But, having to wait for the current issue of a magazine to be stocked onto the shelves of the local Chapter's is just plain cruel and unusual. Especially when it's all over the website and my fellow American bloggers were talking about it a week ago. ~~**~ Sigh...
