Gorgeous Veil

This just might be the most beautiful veil + fascinator combo I've ever seen.

Not to mention a lovely bride! Breathtaking!

Custom Comics

I'm a fan of anything interesting, original, and personal, and even more so if I can incorporate it into a wedding, so when I saw these custom comic strips from Mark Weber on Elsewares all I could think about was how to use this for a wedding! Your proposal story as a comic would make a great save-the-date. Or, if you know a couple well enough you could have their story told in a comic and give it to them as a wedding gift! The possibilities are endless! Neat!

Ringpillows + Headbands

Oh so pretty! I love flowers. Real, fresh, beautiful flowers. I'm not entirely fond of a silk flowers, unless they are of unbelieveably incredible quality. I quite like paper flowers if they are spectacularly simple. And, I now love felt flowers. You will too...

Amy Atlas Dessert Table

A little while ago Amy Atlas of Amy Atlas Events contacted me to let me know she had added a link to my blog from hers. Eeeep! I was so flattered with the lovely surprise! So thank you Amy! I’ve returned the favour.

In case you don’t know, the incomparable Amy Atlas is an event planner from New York City that specializes in candy and dessert tables. I did a feature on Amy back in October which you can revisit here :: Her Mod, Candy Shop, Birthday, and Bridal Brunch dessert tables. ~sigh~

I visited Amy’s website yesterday and noticed she added some photos to her gallery and naturally I couldn’t resist posting them! This table was created for Claudia Hanlin’s The Wedding Library.

How sweet it is!

Krislyn Designs

Krislyn Design is an absolutely ingenius floral studio. Krislyn's style is clearly forward thinking, distinctive, and incredibly original - "beauty without boundaries" is a description from their website. Don't take it from me though, have a peek at some of their work below.

I grouped these photos together as pure architectural fabulousness ::

Detail :: Boy's Ring Girl's Wrist

I came across the loveliest idea! This comes from the wedding of peonies.and.polaroids. Determined to do what felt right, she and her betrothed liked the idea of each looking after the other’s ring until the ceremony. They were never able to understand how or why the best man* came to be in possession of the wedding rings, or a four year old boy*, or a dog for that matter*!

As there weren’t any pockets on her dress trying it around her wrist seemed like the best idea. She had someone tie it on just before the ceremony so there wasn't time for the knot to come undone and for her to lose it, then when we get to the ring exchange The Boy helped her untie it.

*Forever diplomatic I would like to state that there is nothing wrong with these ideas! Just one girl’s opinion.

Oscar White

We watch Hollywood for the latest in fashion styles and trends and Oscar night is the ultimate exhibition. Last night the trend that was hard not to notice was the collection of white dresses that graced the red carpet. I can't help but think these silhouettes will end up in bridal salons next year.

Real Wedding :: Meghan + Bobby (Ceremony}

If there is one thing that every single newlywed will tell you - it's that your wedding day goes by in the blink of an eye. Everything happens in a blur, that's why it's so wonderful to have a photographer as talented as Kirstie capture those special moments. When you receive your wedding album and flip through the photos, the pictures offer a glimpse back in time and act as a reminder of forgotten moments.

Real Wedding :: Meghan + Bobby {The Dress}

I received an early Valentine this year - from none other than Kirstie Tweed of Orange Girl Photographs. I am always so delighted when I hear from her - not only to keep in touch, but because I know, without a doubt, when I open the collection she sends me, I will be completely wrapped in visual delight.

Kirstie sent me photos from Meghan + Bobby's splendid wedding in Banff, Alberta, Canada.

This first set of photos is of Meghan's dress. It's not surprising that it is impeccably beautiful and perfect for her, Meghan is clearly a woman of style.

Get Around to Gift Giving

One of the biggest challenges in planning your wedding is finding just the right gift for the ones you love. You want to buy a gift that is both meaningful and perfect for that person. I thought this was just lovely.

I think my Mom would have treasured this. They also have 'grandma' and 'nana'.
