You may already know about the Brides magazine Something Pink initiative, where the publication asked 21 designers to create custom gowns in a rose-colored theme, with proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
What you may not know, is that one of these sumptuous gowns hit Hollywood! The gown by Anjolique made an appearance in the Renée Zellweger-produced Lifetime Original Movie Living Proof, about a UCLA doctor who pioneered the development of a breast cancer drug treatment in the late eighties. The film premiered on October 18th.
The Something Pink dresses by such designers as Vera Wang, Reem Acra, Monique Lhuillier, and Carolina Herrera, were photographed for the November/December issue of BRIDES, which was on newsstands October 14. The gowns went on sale mid-October nationwide and for those brides with more traditional tastes, sales of the ivory and white versions will benefit BCRF as well.
