Organizing the Bookcase
So, so super cool! Take a few moments to take in the genius of Lisa Blonder Ohlenkamp and Sean Ohlenkamp who put in the time and effort to create this delightful film.

Awesome Note to Self
Today is Thursday; there is nothing really special about this mediocre day of the week. Friday makes you feel an anticipatory sparkle of excitement and Sunday provides a warm squeeze of comfort. But how does Thursday make you feel? When I saw this fanciful graphic by Super Swoon, I decided that today should make me feel awesome. I'm going to be awesome. And here is my reminder::
Thanks to the awesome Kerry Doyle of the awesome Super Swoon for being so awesome and inspiring this awesome post!

Valentine's Gifts!
Just for fun I thought I would put together a list of things I'd like for Valentine's Day. I am not high maintenance. I just like pretty things. Pretty things that happen to be expensive. No pressure though.
Poppy Signature Wristlet in silver/melon/magenta from Coach; Miss Chacha in red silk by none other than Christian Louboutin; Sexy Little Things I Love You Corset courtesy of Victoria’s Secret; A big fat kiss*; My Unique Stack of Tiffany Celebration Rings from Tiffany & Co. {the Tiffany Swing Three-Row Ring, flanked by two channel set bands. Yay!}; Dark Chocolate Lace Heart Box from Ladureé {I would wish it be filled with their signature macarons please! For the flavours I would choose... chocolate, bitter chocolate, vanilla, coffee, pistachio, raspberry, another raspberry, caramel with salted butter, red fruits, coconut, mint, praline, chocolate with cherry, chocolate with passionfruit, blueberry, another chocolate. And another raspberry. I really, really loved the raspberry!}
*I know that this is a chick kiss but a guy’s kiss doesn’t make as pretty a picture. No offense.
I love you SexyHusband! Thank you for being my everyday Valentine. And... don't worry if you don't buy me one of these gifts for Valentine's Day, my birthday is right around the corner.

The Truth Hurts :: Wedding Cards
You know how you can never find the perfect card? And even if you do, it just sugar coats what you're really thinking? These "Footnote Collection" cards by Old Tom Foolery might just say exactly what you have in mind.*

The next one contains profanity (the 'f' word) - sorry! I just thought is was so funny. And, so appropriate for some!

{I altered this card, it actually says the real word}
*while I find these cards amusing, I would never actually send one!**
**well... maybe!

His + Her's Couple's Calendar
Who isn’t busy? Raise your hand. Anyone? Anyone? Hmmm. No one. Not surprising.
It seems that everyone has so much going on lately; always on the move, always on the run. Some of the time, you’re running in the same direction as your spouse / partner / significant other / fiancé(é) and sometimes you’re slingshotting in separate directions, only to meet up again for another engagement.
When I came across this calendar it was with a sigh of relief, now SexyHusband and I can keep track of each other’s whereabouts without the Blackberries and iTouches. It's a well organized tool to handle two hectic schdules. One row is for her schedule, one for his, and the middle one for common activities and plans.
Wouldn’t this make a great gift for someone recently engaged or planning their wedding?

Kiwi Berries
This has pretty much nothing to do with weddings but I just had to share one of my new favourite things!

Kiwi Berries! Have you discovered these delectable little bursts of sunshine? If you like kiwi you’ll have to try them. They are miniature. They are the same beautiful juicy green colour with the seeds inside. They taste pretty much the same – maybe a bit sweeter. And the best part is that they aren’t fuzzy! You can just pop them in your mouth as is. So cute. So good.
The ones I bought from my local grocer were even smaller than pictured above.

Woodwick
I'm almost sad to post something new because I just love looking at the sugar hearts! But, I found something else neat! I was at Chapters when I saw this pretty candle, and I liked it even better when I noticed that it has a wooden wick that crackles like a fire when it's lit. I love unique finds.

Hockneyizing and Flickrfying
I popped in on a favourite this morning, Brooklyn Bride , where Vane introduces us to fabulous things. First of all, I thought I was lost, because I didn’t recognize the blog for a moment; she added a new header, which is absolutely lovely. She gave a shout out to Jessica at How About Orange who provided the design. Me, not able to resist a link, saunters on over to How About Orange and was deeee-lighted. I was barely on the site for a couple of minutes before I added her to my favourites.
Which brings me to the title of today’s post. I thought it sounded a little dirty but, well, it’s Friday so I’m feeling extra sassy.
I found these two fun tools:
The Hockneyizer. Where you can upload a photo to make a scatter of Polaroid’s. This is my wedding bouquet.

Neat, neat, neat. You can use any photo you like, choose the amount of Polaroid’s you want, shuffle them around and that’s it! You’re Hockneyized.
They also provide a quotation with each shuffle, this was mine,
“Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart." — Kahlil Gibran. Awwwww…..
Then, not able to resist, I wheeled through some older entries and found Spell with Flickr! I’m a word and font junkie. I’m not sure I’ve mentioned this before but, now it’s out there. Upon entrance to the site you enter in the word you want “Flickr’ed” and it’ll provide an assortment of letters from the Flickr files and make your word! Neato mosquito! It even allows you to “flick” through the letters if you don’t the like the one you were dealt.

So, happy Friday! Play away!

Persimmon. The Fruit, not the Colour.
Sometimes, when my husband and I go grocery shopping, I like to buy something new from the produce section, something I haven't tried before. This week, it was a persimmon. I know that I love the colour, especially coming into fall, but I had no idea what it was, how it tastes or what to do with it. So, I picked through them, found, what I thought, was a lovely specimen and brought it home with me. Now I just have to figure out what to do with it! Should you have any suggestions please let me know!

Club Wedd Couples
I just adore these couples. I wish I could draw. Or paint.

Courtesy of Target's Club Wedd.
And, just so you know, we're the first couple. My husband and I. I swear that's a snapshot of our kitchen. But I'm not that tall. Or that slim. But I have hair that dark and I love her shoes. I'm positive that Andy has that exact outfit. And that's the colour of his hair. And he is that tall. And my Kitchenaid is white. But, it really is us. Which one are you? Or,... which couple do you want to be?
